Revolutionizing Atopic Dermatitis (RAD) Virtual Conference is organized by Revolutionizing Atopic Dermatitis (RAD) and will be held on Dec 11, 2022.
Description:
Although the diagnosis of Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is straightforward in children, its diagnosis is challenging in adults. Advances in research on AD epidemiology, burden, and comorbidities have transformed the understanding of the course of AD, including risk factors, age of onset, disease severity and persistence, and health outcomes. Clinicians may not be aware of the epidemiology of AD for proper risk stratification, patient education, and therapeutic decision-making. Atopic dermatitis is a heterogeneous disorder with variable severity of signs and symptoms, and an impact on quality of life. Clinicians may not be able to assess AD severity accurately in order to optimize therapy.
Educational Objectives:
After completing this activity, upon diagnosis and assessment of the severity of AD, the participant should be better able to:
• Highlight the burden of sleep disturbances and mental health comorbidities in AD
• Review evidence-based approaches to addressing the mental health burden of AD
• Discuss gaps in research and current needs from the patient and healthcare provider perspectives
• Apply improved understanding of pathophysiology, currently available and emerging treatment options in therapeutic decision-making for AD
• Discuss different pathways of digital innovation in research and healthcare
• Identify unmet needs and opportunities for digital innovation in AD
• Illustrate recent innovations in digital medicine for measuring nocturnal scratch in AD
