Project ECHO: Epilepsy Across the Lifespan is organized by The Hospital for Sick Children, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), University Health Network (UHN), McMaster Children's Hospital, Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS), London Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Kingston General Hospital (KGH) and will be held from Sep 14, 2021 - Jun 28, 2022.

Description:
During the lunch hour, CPD Epilepsy education sessions are offered without any cost.

Project ECHO: Epilepsy Across the Lifespan is a virtual case-based learning programme that aims to improve the management of epilepsy patients by educating healthcare practitioners. The Ontario Ministry of Health funds the programme, which provides free CME credits. Sessions are 60 minutes long and held weekly during the lunch hour for convenience. The sessions begin with a 10-minute didactic presentation presenting key clinical pearls, followed by an interactive discussion of a de-identified real patient case presented by community healthcare providers. To provide these workshops, our interdisciplinary teams at academic hospitals use Zoom to interact with community practitioners. Epilepsy in Children and Youth, Epilepsy in Adults, and Epilepsy and Genetics are the three programmes. The Ontario Epilepsy Genetics Testing Curriculum will allow Family Practitioners, Paediatricians, and Community Neurologists who have completed the Epilepsy and Genetics programme to arrange genetic testing for their qualified epilepsy patients.
