Description:
The PBI Medical Record Keeping course illustrates, for all clinicians, why the process of keeping and maintaining complete, clear, and accurate medical records is critical to the responsible provision of patient care.

This live, interactive, two-day course, is comprised of didactic lectures and group discussion. During the course, participants are given real medical records to analyze and discuss. The course culminates in each participant's development of their Personalized Protection Plan, outlining how they will improve record keeping and documentation moving forward.

Course participants complete pre-course assignments including: personal record review and critique, research on state and specialty specific laws and guidelines, additional readings, and written assignments to prepare them for participation in the hands-on review and interactive group analysis of records during their course.

• Three hours of pre-course assignments
• Two day live course
• One hour assignment + 12 hour post-course faculty-led group conference calls (MAS). One hour weekly for 12 weeks.
