Partners for Kids-Behavioral Health Community Education Series: Partnering with Prescribing Providers is organized by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and will be held on Oct 10, 2025.

Description:
This series provides participants with the opportunity to learn from internal experts in the behavioral health field. Relevant behavioral health topics and evidence-based practice tools are presented in a monthly lecture format.

This activity will provide you with information about the different types of prescribers, components of a psychiatric assessment, diagnostic categories, and common medications used to treat various pediatric mental health concerns. Resources will be shared that you can use to further your own education and that you can provide to patients and families in your clinical practice. Finally, we will engage in a discussion about collaborative care, with an emphasis on what information, especially related to diagnostic and medication concerns, to share with prescribers.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

• Review the components of a psychiatric assessment
• Outline various diagnostic categories and common medications utilized
• Detail resources for further review and dissemination to patients and families
• Provide a prescriber’s perspective on collaborative care
• Outline diagnostic and medication concerns that should be relayed to prescribers
