Description:
WILM's Pain Managmenet CME Course is one day of the Western Institute’s 2-day long Prescribing Practices and Management of Pain and Substance Abuse Disorder CME Course which is an intensive CME Course designed for physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals in all medical specialties who need or wish to increase their clinical knowledge and ability to effectively and safely prescribe Scheduled Controlled Substances, Opioids, and other dangerous prescription medications while reducing the risk for abuse.  This one day CME Course is specifically devoted to aspects and details of pain management.

Pain management practices have an especially high legal risk due to the many requirements for prescribing controlled substances and to large potential money damages for pain control malpractice.

This CME Course covers topics such as prescribing and storing controlled substances, chronic pain management, and fraudulent or excessive prescriptions.

• Treating addicted patients
• Drug-seeking patients and management of manipulative and seductive patient behaviors
