Aims:
To provide an updated understanding of how oral mucosal disorders influence periodontal health, disease progression and clinical management.

To outline the types of oral mucosal disorders affecting the periodontium
To examine the relationship between mucosal disorders and periodontal disease
To explore the impact of these disorders on disease progression and tooth loss
To review clinical considerations and management approaches for affected patients
