This is our 14th symposium and we hope you’ll find the agenda as fascinating as we do. The program is intended to have something for everyone, from the practical day-to-day management of MS patients to the newest research developments in the field.
Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Summarize research insights on the pathophysiology of MS and their potential implications for clinical practice.
• Explain emerging concepts in MS management including immunoablation with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and B cell depletion.
• Describe recent developments in the management of pediatric-onset MS.
• Characterize the diagnosis and management of non-MS central nervous system inflammatory disorders.
• Critically appraise the evidence on how COVID-19 affects the care of patients with MS.
• Detail the disability process in multiple sclerosis focusing on physical evaluations and cognitive assessments.
• Summarize how management strategies for multiple sclerosis are affected by healthcare disparities and mental health disorders.
