Description:
Did you know that in order to make a good and appropriate referral to Adult Social Services, all you need to do is to understand the five basic tenets of the process of adult safeguarding? Find out what these are along with some basic safeguarding principles and see them being applied in different case studies.

There will also be a short update on Adult Safeguarding training requirements according to the recently released Adult Safeguarding: Roles and Competencies for Health Care Staff, Second Edition 2024.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the new  safeguarding training requirements for Adult Safeguarding 
• Understand some basic principles of safeguarding and know when to use them
• How to make a good and appropriate referral to Adult Social Services
• How to safeguard adults whose concerns don’t reach the threshold for Adult Social Services
