OVERVIEW

Journal Club: psychological and mind-body (PMB) Interventions for Endometriosis is organized by International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS) and will be held on Mar 06, 2025.

Description:
Psychological and mind-body (PMB) interventions are associated with lower levels of pain, fatigue, depression, and anxiety in women with endometriosis; however, more well-controlled clinical trials are needed. This systematic review examined 12 publications from 9 studies, revealing promising results, but further research is necessary to establish stronger conclusions.

Discussion Topics:

  • The impact of yoga, biofeedback, CBT, mindfulness, acupuncture, and relaxation techniques on pain, depression, and anxiety
  • How PMB interventions contribute to holistic treatment approaches for endometriosis
  • The need for well-controlled trials to strengthen research findings
