OVERVIEW

International Cancer Imaging Society (ICIS) Masterclass in Current Topics of Renal and Adrenal Imaging is organized by International Cancer Imaging Society (ICIS) and will be held from Feb 11 - 12, 2026.

Description:

Overview

  • This Masterclass in Current Topics of Renal and Adrenal Imaging will be delivered online, over two half-days, as a workstation-based teaching course. We will provide an overview and diagnostic approach in evaluating cystic and solid renal masses as well as incidental and functional disorders of the adrenals.
  • The attendees will learn practical tips and work through cases evaluating renal masses and ways to avoid common pitfalls in assessment. The role of imaging with modality based diagnostic approach for dysfunction of the adrenal cortex and medulla will be demonstrated using clinical examples. The course will include evaluation of incidental adrenal lesions with emphasis on current guidelines and the limitations. We will review the key information referrers need from radiologists for appropriate patient management.
  • Our expert faculty have extensive clinical knowledge and experience, and delegates will benefit from mentored hands-on case-based learning with individual workstations. Between 35-40 cases will be reviewed, each chosen to illustrate specific learning points, all summarized in a comprehensive workbook which will be posted to your specified address before the course.
To achieve optimum experience from this interactive course, two screens, one with a camera are required. Please refer to the joining instructions for full details.

Learning Objectives

  • To discuss the approach to evaluation of solid renal masses with a focus on CT and MRI as a problem-solving tool
  • To discuss the approach to evaluation of cystic renal masses using Bosniak classification v2019 and practical tips to avoid pitfalls in assessment
  • Understanding the role and appearances of imaging in the management and diagnosis of dysfunctional diseases of the adrenal cortex and medulla
