Institute of Leadership and Management Programme in Dental Decontamination is organized by Cambridge Postgraduate Medical Centre (PGMC) and will be held on Mar 04, 2021.

Course Aims:
This ILM endorsed program will enable you to progress in your profession by providing you with the underpinning knowledge of decontamination and introduce current guidelines and legislation. The program also aims to develop leadership and management skills to assist you in dealing with the day to day running of a decontamination area and decontamination team.

Conference Objectives:
The program will increase your knowledge and understanding of professional practice and governance related to Dental Decontamination within the following areas:
• Key nominated leadership roles and responsibilities for decontamination
• Leading your team to achieve 'Best Practice' and maintaining standards
• Managing changes within legislation and ensuring you adhere to your lead job role to demonstrate compliance
• Time frames and activities for validation and maintenance of dental instruments and equipment

Learning outcomes
Following the course, delegates will be able to:
1. Develop leadership skills to become a more effective decontamination lead
2. Recommend and implement safe processes for dental decontamination
3. Implement contingency plans and monitor that safe processes are being carried out competently

This CPD course meets the criteria for the GDC Development Outcomes A, B, C & D
