Descritpion:
The Florida Nurses Association’s Nurse Educator Special Interest Group presents a two-hour continuing education webinar on Human Trafficking Education for Nurses, led by Dr. Marie O. Etienne, founder, president, and CEO of the Global Innovative Foundation. This comprehensive session will provide nurses with essential knowledge and tools to identify, assess, and appropriately respond to potential cases of human trafficking in healthcare settings.
The program fulfills the mandatory human trafficking education requirement for Florida nurses and offers valuable insights into current legislation, victim support resources, and best practices for trauma-informed care. Participants will leave equipped to enhance patient safety, advocacy, and awareness within their professional practice.
This webinar has been approved for 2.0 nurse contact hours (Human Trafficking requirement) by the Florida Nurses Association (provider #50-3103). Attendees must be present at the live webinar (attendance will be tracked) and complete a post-webinar evaluation to be eligible for CE. At this time, we are unable to offer continuing education for those who are unable to attend the live webinar.
