OVERVIEW

Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Course is organized by American Training Institute (ATI) and will be held on Nov 19, 2026.

Description:
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) was developed to educate participants how to recognize the ill or injured child and identify significant and sometimes subtle changes in the less acutely ill child. The course teaches many aspects of pediatric emergency nursing, including pediatric trauma and resuscitation. ENPC’s psychomotor skill stations facilitate initial integration of these skills in a setting that simulates pediatric patient situations. It is the intent of the course to enhance the provider’s ability to rapidly and accurately assess the pediatric patient. The ultimate goal of the course is to improve the care of the pediatric patient by increasing the knowledge, skill, and confidence of emergency nurses.

ENPC incorporates adult learning theory in the development of the curriculum and course content. Utilizing a combination of classroom lecture type format in conjunction with hands on scenario based training ENPC utilizes many different learning styles, including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This varied approach promotes critical thinking, an organized approach to care and supports the nursing process. Learning is a continuum (i.e., a dynamic process), and it is intended that the ENPC Provider Manual will be a reference not only for the course but for future care of pediatric patients.
