EMDR Boot Camp is organized by Advanced Education Institute (AEI) and will be held from Oct 04 - 05, 2024.
Description:
This is a two-day live webinar designed as an EMDR skills refresher course. EMDR Boot Camp is intended specifically for clinicians trained in EMDR who have not had the ability to practice EMDR to the comfort level they would like to have when working with clients/consumers. All too often clinicians leave EMDR Basic Training courses feeling confident and ready to treat, however, due to a variety of reasons clinicians may not have the opportunity to practice EMDR at their work settings and lack confidence in their EMDR skills. Research consistently demonstrates that fidelity to the 8 phase EMDR treatment model increases the efficacy of EMDR for client/consumers (Maxfield, 2003; Perkins & Rouanzoin, 2002; Greenwald, 1996; Wilson, 1995). This course consists of didactic presentations, demonstrations, and supervised practicum to strengthen EMDR skills and facilitate a greater treatment outcome.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this training, the learner will be able to…
• Demonstrate complete treatment planning with EMDR
• Describe the art of developing Negative and Positive Cognitions
• Implement closure techniques for incomplete sessions
