Dementia Care Aware: Cognitive Health Assessment Training is organized by University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine and will be held on Apr 22, 2025.

Description:
CAP-CT Focus on Dementia Care. Presenting Dementia Care Aware’s “The Cognitive Health Assessment: The Basics.” This training is for primary care teams on how to conduct a 5–10-minute cognitive health assessment (CHA) to assess for cognitive impairment. The training also includes information on the next immediate steps in an evaluation and starting a brain health plan.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Understand the why’s and what’s of dementia screening and care
  • Learn how to conduct a screening called the Cognitive Health Assessment: Tools, Scoring, and Interpreting Results
  • Understand the next steps with a positive screen.
