Children's Health Rehabilitation and Therapy Symposium is organized by Children's Health and will be held on Aug 07, 2021.

Who Should Attend:
Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers, Case Managers, Physical Therapist and Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists and Assistants, Respiratory Therapists and Medical Students

Accreditation Statement: The Children’s Health is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Credit Designation: The Children’s Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Ethics Designation Statement: The presentation "Pediatric Palliative Care: Who, What, When, Where, Why and How?" has been designated by Children's Health for 1.0 credit of education in medical ethics and/or professional responsibility. 

In order to count the 0.1 credit towards the ASHA Ethics Requirement participants will need to self attest since this symposium is not coded ethics. 

Approval Statement: Children’s Health Clinical Operations is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Course Overview:
The primary focus of this single-day course in our Third Annual Pediatric Rehabilitation Symposium is to address a variety of topics that include early mobility acute care, disorders of consciousness in rehabilitation palliative care, neurodevelopmental implications of cardiac diagnosis, cancer rehabilitation. This symposium will utilize an interdisciplinary rehabilitation management with an integrative perspective approach to address congenital and child-onset functional impairments. Speakers include Pediatric Physiatry, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Palliative care, Pediatric Neuropsychiatry, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
