OVERVIEW

Center for Excellence in Coaching and Mentoring (CECM): Coaching & Mentoring Essentials for Healthcare Professionals is organized by Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education and will be held from Dec 03 - 04, 2025.

Description:
Discover the power of Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Excellence in Coaching and Mentoring’s  (CECM) “Coach Approach”. Optimize your role as a coach, mentor, teacher or leader or being on the receiving end of those. Despite our many roles, healthcare professionals are not taught relationship-centered, asset-based coaching and mentoring techniques-enroll to learn these transformational skills!

Join us for this eight hour training introducing the Cleveland Clinic CECM Coach Approach emphasizing relationship-centeredness and empathy. Trained mentor coaches facilitate learning in small groups with direct observation and real-time feedback. Participation includes classroom materials, debriefs, and an invitation to join our ongoing CECM collaborative calls to further connect with a community of practice of like-minded individuals developing related programming at their own institutions, and for continued skill development.

Training outcomes support increased engagement, resilience and can drive retention. Participants report using coaching skills across contexts: with patients, colleagues and in their personal lives. Experience a unique framework and essential coaching fundamentals that transform conversations and unlock creativity in yourself and others.

By Participating, You Will Be Able To:

  • Define the roles of an effective Coach, Mentor and Coachee/Mentee.
  • Differentiate how a coach approach vs. a traditional approach can transform your conversations.
  • Apply and practice the fundamentals of the relationship-centered Cleveland Clinic CECM Coach Approach:  Deep listening, Empathy, Asset-based questions and Language.
