Description:
Experts in alignment and deformity correction will share their knowledge on a wide range of topics including osteotomies, ILNs, and bone transport and post-trauma limb reconstruction. Participate in 5 hours of interactive content to help you identify and incorporate into practice appropriate strategies for limb deformity correction, limb salvage, and limb lengthening.

Learning Objectives:
Hospital for Special Surgery Professional Education activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the conclusion of this course the participant will be able to:
• Describe and recognize various orthopaedic conditions that can be treated safely with limb lengthening and reconstruction techniques. They will determine the appropriate surgical treatment for these conditions.
• Describe and be able to incorporate into practice current methods for acute deformity correction, including osteotomies.
• Review and use new technologies for limb deformity correction, such as those relating to bone transport. They will determine when to appropriately use these new technologies in practice.
