Description:
Honey and other bee products have a long history of use in healing from antiquity. Bee medicine is well known for its anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. Increasingly, and especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, people are turning to natural products for help with their health. The past two decades have seen a surge in bee products’ publications and clinical trials compared with the previous twenty years. Research includes trials for the treatment and health support for viral infections such as COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2, for cancers such as breast and liver cancers, mucositis arising from chemo or radiation therapy, heart and auto immune diseases.

The goal of the Australian Apitherapy Conference is to provide a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, beekeepers, health practitioners, veterinarians, policymakers, and consumer organizations to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the field of Apitherapy.

The conference aims to provide bridge between east and west, grab the opportunity to hear keynote sessions on topics related to important and difficult to treat health concerns. These include allergic reactions, bee venom therapy (BVT)techniques, informed consent and legal issues, propolis and cancer, Lyme disease, Parkinson’s disease, veterinary apitherapy, wound healing, and much more. We aim to explore all aspects of Apitherapy.

Come join us for the inaugural Australian Apitherapy Association Conference in partnership with DBMR for an enriching knowledge fest, where experts will speak on new policy trends and market dynamics. Together let’s work towards evidence-based treatment with bee products so as to make Apitherapy much better known and accepted in Australia as it already is in many countries of the world.
