Ageing Well Summit Asia 2021 is organized by The Economist Events. This CME webinar will be held from Mar 22 - 25, 2021.
Course Overview:
Generations born today and tomorrow can move forward to 100 years of life. Yet we are ill-prepared both for the opportunities such longevity begins and for the challenges it poses to our societies. How should we organize ourselves for this swiftly changing world? How can we prepare for healthy lives that last 90 years or longer? How should we revamp healthcare and finance to render services for ever-larger cohorts of the elderly? How do we remodel education and employment so those aged over 50 stay active and productive? How should we rethink longevity and aging?
In the coming decades, Asia will lead efforts to answer these questions. The United Nations Population Fund estimates that Asia will hold around 1.3 billion people over the age of 60 by the middle of the century. This demographic shift will not only strain care systems but also present the chance for governments, businesses, and societies to make key changes so as to harness older people’s accumulation of experience, wisdom, and wealth.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
