Then the Adult & Pediatric Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Board Preparatory and Review Course and accompanying GESAP X question library of self-directed study materials is your ticket to success! 

Gain a critical overview of gastrointestinal topics addressed on GI board examinations, in the context of practical guidance regarding fundamentals of standard adult and pediatric endoscopy practice. Curriculum planning was conducted by leading experts in adult and pediatric gastroenterology and endoscopy in collaboration with recently graduated and current GI Fellows.  

Topics include GI conditions that are diagnosed and treated with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, wireless video capsule endoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic ultrasonography, hybrid, laparoscopy-assisted endoscopy and advanced imaging methods.  Additionally, tips for those sitting for initial ABIM/ABP GI Certification Exam or those recertifying will be offered.

Learning Objectives:
• Recognize various diagnostics testing used and management employed for common esophageal disorders. (Knowledge)
• Review common stomach and small bowel disorders, including peptic ulcer disease, H pylori therapy, Nutrition, short gut syndrome, post bariatric surgery nutritional deficiencies and TPN. (Comprehension)
• Interpret various cases and images of pancreatitis, fluid collections, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, choledocholithiasis, cystitis, ERCP, EUS, and pancreatic cystic neoplasms.  (Application)
• Outline genetic disorders often encountered in pediatrics. (Knowledge)
• Compare and contrast techniques in patient preparations, monitoring and sedatives used. (Analysis)
• Summarize commonly encountered liver diseases, including hepatitis, genetic diseases of the liver, various liver masses and biliary atresia. (Synthesis) 
• Interpret case study questions and related imaging presented on colonic neoplasia, polyposis syndromes and polyp management and endoscopic management of IBD. (Application)
• Select correct responses to questions posed in areas of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies, histology, endoscopy and nutrition. (Evaluation)
