26th Biennial Conference on Diseases of the Vulva & Vagina is organized by The International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) and will be held from Sep 23 - 25, 2021.

Description:
It will include many case based interactive panels, sessions with a clinician paired with a pathologist to show the clinical/path correlation and many systems based care solutions for working with special populations. We have also brought in some outside experts to help us address the many “hot topics” that our past attendees have said they want to learn about.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe how to submit vulvovaginal specimens for pathologic analysis
• Communicate with their consulting pathologist in a meaningful way
• Formulate a differential diagnosis for common patch and plaque-based conditions on the vulva
• Formulate a basic management plan for specific dermatoses of the vulva including lichen simplex chronicus, contact dermatitis, and lichen sclerosus
• Engage in a basic discussion with patients on incontinence and its impact on vulvovaginal conditions
• Explain in simple language what patch testing is and identify common vulvar allergens
• Recognize important vulvovaginal disorders that might present in an inpatient setting
• Explain the benefits of a multidisciplinary clinical care team for treating vulvodynia
• Formulate a differential diagnosis of erosive and ulcerative conditions on the vulva
• Formulate a basic management plan for specific erosive and ulcerative conditions on the vulva
• Describe the varied clinical presentation of Graft versus Host Disease (GVHD) and provide treatment recommendations for GVHD
• Brainstorm systems-based techniques to improve vulvovaginal care in all skin types
• Identify systems-based and clinic-based approaches to optimizing vulvovaginal care for transgender patients
• Describe optimal physical exam techniques and management pearls for pediatric patients with vulvar conditions
• Compare and contrast unique aspects of vulvovaginal care within different health care delivery systems and settings (i.e. national health service, academic center, and private practice settings)
• List a differential diagnosis of neoplasms on the vulva
• Formulate a basic management plan for specific neoplasms on the vulva
• List specific neoplasms that may be treated with Mohs micrographic surgery and understand when a referral to a Mohs surgeon may be appropriate for specific vulvar neoplasms
• Compare and contrast current treatments for genitourinary syndrome of menopause including laser
• List and describe the steps to performing and interpreting a vaginal wet mount
• List important conditions that present as vaginitis
• Formulate a basic management plan for specific causes of vaginitis including trichomoniasis, desquamative inflammatory vaginitis, and non-albicans candida vulvovaginitis
