The current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic has elevated the ongoing standard need for healthcare providers to maintain the latest knowledge of updates to common and emerging diagnoses seen in the pediatric setting. It is vital that healthcare providers improve and maintain their ability to implement the most current clinical knowledge for optimal patient care. This annual symposium is designed to increase providers’ competence through lectures and discussions that highlight best practices and strategies to treat pediatric patients suffering from common or emerging complications. It will increase the learners’ ability and confidence to provide better care in their own clinical practice through efficient diagnosis, treatment, management, and/or referral. Didactic lectures will present updated information on research data, clinical trials, and evidence-based practices in the management of pediatric patients. Case presentations and Q&As will allow for interactive learning and provide an opportunity for participants to engage with their colleagues and experts in the field and compare best practices.
Objectives :
By attending this didactic course, the participant will provide better patient care through an increased ability to:
• Use current knowledge about different screening and treatment options for headaches and when to see an expert in pediatric neurology.
• Apply the latest knowledge about the treatment and evaluation options for polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
• Use the most current strategies and resources to combat the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
• Utilize the most current methods and guidelines for congenital diseases with particular attention to congenital syphilis.
• Use a range of management strategies for sleep disorders and sleep apnea. breathing
• Apply the most current methods of management and treatment for heart-related issues.
• Use the most up-to-date evaluation and treatment options for circumcision and the associated anatomic contraindications
• Develop a list of possible ways to begin the work-up process for major kinds of chest wall abnormalities and when to consult a pediatric cardiology specialist.
