Good for the seasoned mammographer or new technologist, this course provides a “one stop” review of mammography, breast imaging, breast cancer detection, and breast cancer treatments in the United States. This course introduces the reader to current breast imaging technologies and adjunct modalities, patient care, and interventional procedures such as stereotactic biopsy. This course covers the topics required for initial mammography training by the Mammography Quality Standards Act: anatomy and physiology, positioning and compression, digital mammography, quality assurance and quality control, and imaging patients with breast implants.
