OVERVIEW

Journal CME/HeartRhythm Journal: Vol. 14, Issue 6: Ventricular pacing in single ventricles - A bad combination is organized by Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and would be held during May 22, 2017 - May 24, 2019.

The target audience for this medical event for all professionals who participate in the care and management of heart rhythm disorders. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

Course Description:
Chronic ventricular pacing (VP) is associated with systolic dysfunction in a subset of pediatric patients with heart block and structurally normal hearts. The effect of chronic VP in congenital heart disease is less well understood, specifically in the single-ventricle (SV) population. The objective of this study is to determine the longitudinal effect of ventricular pacing in children with single-ventricle congenital heart disease.

Learning Objectives:
• Discuss the long-term outcomes of ventricular pacing in single-ventricle congenital heart disease
• Describe the risk of mortality and heart transplantation in single-ventricle congenital heart disease patients who are ventricularly paced
• Appreciate the limitations of our understanding of the optimal ventricular pacing site in single-ventricle congenital heart disease

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
