OVERVIEW
American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Journal CME is organized by American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and will be held during Feb 16, 2016 - Feb 15, 2019.
The target audience for this medical event is ANESTHESIOLOGY Journal CME is intended for anesthesiologists. Researchers and other health care professionals with an interest in anesthesiology may also participate. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor antagonists have been shown to reduce perioperative pain and opioid use. Theauthors performed a meta-analysis to determine whether the use of perioperative dextromethorphan lowers opioid consumption or pain scores.

• Manage the administration of dextromethorphan and morphine to treat a patient’s postoperative pain (2,4)
• Design an effective dextromethorphan administration protocol (1, 3, 5)
• Anticipate the patient’s side effects when using dextromethorphan and opioids (6)
