Description: Infections with cancer-causing human papillomaviruses (HPV) are becoming more and more common in patients with head and neck cancer, and amounts to 80-90% in the oropharynx in many developed countries. For this symposium we are bringing together International experts on epidemiology, diagnostics, treatment, and more basic research to share “state of the art” knowledge of the role of HPV in head and neck Cancer. We hope to stimulate through active discussions and exchange of scientific knowledge the current and future clinical management of patients suffering from HPV-induced head and neck cancer. Lectures will be given by internationally renowned experts and presentations of selected abstracts will be complemented by panel discussions, tumor boards, debates and posters. Plenty of opportunities for interactive discussions are scheduled to especially stimulate young clinicians and researchers as well as students to actively participate and contribute to this conference. International Viral Hepatitis Elimination Meeting (IVHEM) 2020 is organized by Virology Education B.V. (VE) and will be held from Dec 04 - 05, 2020 at Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands. Addressing key issues to eliminate viral hepatitis: Hepatitis B and C affect more than 320 million people globally and can lead to liver disease and mortality from liver failure and hepatocellular carcinoma. More than 248 million people (3.8% of the world’s population) are chronically infected with HBV, and over 700,000 attributable deaths annually. An estimated 80 million people (globally, 1.1%) are chronically infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV), resulting in nearly 500,000 deaths annually. Key issues to be addressed are how to translate research outcomes into public health policy and practice to meet the 2030 elimination targets. During this two day meeting, experts in viral hepatitis from around the globe will examine current evidence on how to implement programs that improve the prevention of viral hepatitis, and increase the number of people accessing testing and treatment. The program includes practical examples of innovative intervention studies, country elimination programs and novel funding mechanisms for testing and treatment. Meeting objectives: • To provide a forum for knowledge exchange and discussion of practical experiences related to the clinical management of viral hepatitis • To provide a toolbox for practical application of research & development for evidence based policy making • To facilitate cross-disciplinary discussion on barriers and challenges preventing the elimination of viral hepatitis Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.

CDDF Multi-Stakeholder Workshop Endpoints in Cancer Drug Development is organized by Cancer Drug Development Forum (CDDF) and will be held from Apr 26 - 27, 2021 at Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam-Amstel, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands. Target Audience: The target is a multidisciplinary audience of academia representatives, EU and US regulatory bodies (EMA, FDA, National Agencies), pharmaceutical Industry, HTAs and patient advocates. Event Outline: This workshop is aimed at all relevant stakeholders in cancer drug development, patients, academic researchers, regulatory agencies and pharmaceutical companies. It will address the latest developments in the use of endpoints in cancer drug development. It focuses on the assessment within the context of other data from clinical trials and looks to define a problem-solving, multi-stakeholder approach to the future development of endpoints. The workshop will focus on discourse-inducing presentations and interactive panel discussions. Learning Objectives: • Understanding of past achievements and current challenges in the definition and assessment of endpoints • Assess the challenges and possible solution in the assessment of time-to-event endpoints • Updated knowledge on novel endpoints, like measurable residual disease or circulating tumour nucleotides, and possible pathways for validation • Understanding of strategies to improve the use and overcome obstacles in the use of patientreported outcomes in cancer drug development • Develop awareness for the use of endpoints in expedited regulatory pathways.
