Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

• Evaluate and manage upper, lower, and small?bowel gastrointestinal bleeding, applying evidence?based strategies for resuscitation, risk stratification, and endoscopic hemostasis
• Assess and treat hepatobiliary and pancreatic emergencies, including cholangitis, biliary obstruction, difficult stones, bile leaks, and indications for urgent ERCP
• Recognize and manage time?sensitive inpatient GI conditions, such as acute severe IBD, Ogilvie’s syndrome, volvulus, and acute liver failure/ACLF, with appropriate escalation pathways
• Identify and manage GI perforations, fistulas, foreign bodies, and food bolus impactions, including selection and application of endoscopic closure and airway?protective techniques
• Perform safe and appropriate enteral access management, including PEG/PEG?J decision?making and the evaluation and treatment of common device?related complications
• Enhance inpatient GI consultation effectiveness, incorporating structured decision?making, imaging interpretation, interdisciplinary communication, and awareness of medicolegal and billing considerations
