OVERVIEW

Genome Informatics is organized by Wellcome Connecting Science Courses and Conferences and will be held from Dec 02 - 04, 2026 at Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, England, United Kingdom.

Description:
This year’s conference will focus on algorithmic and informatics approaches to understanding genome structure and biology, and their application to human health and disease. It will showcase a range of methods for large genomic dataset analysis, including genome assembly, sequence algorithms, variant discovery, and functional genomics. Key themes will include pangenomes, evolutionary biology, single-cell and spatial omics, microbial methodologies, and genomic insights into cancer and other complex diseases.

They welcome abstract submissions across all thematic areas of the conference, including machine learning and AI-driven approaches. A selection of abstracts will be chosen for short talks, while poster presentations and poster pitch talks will provide additional opportunities to share new findings, highlight work in progress, and engage in discussion with peers.

The meeting will bring together computational biologists, human geneticists, and researchers in comparative and evolutionary genomics, fostering a highly interdisciplinary environment. Shared meals and informal discussions will provide generous networking opportunities and actively promote collaboration and exchange.
