Description:
The Advanced Gynecologic Ultrasound Course is a comprehensive training program designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ knowledge and practical skills in gynecologic ultrasound imaging. The course focuses on current standards, advanced ultrasound principles, and the evaluation of gynecologic abnormalities through a blend of expert-led lectures, simulation, case-based learning, and hands-on practice.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this learning activity the learners will be able to:
- Define normal anatomy, variants and sonographic evaluation of the uterus to accurately identify and interpret uterine abnormalities
- Analyze the sonographic evaluation of endometriosis in extra-uterine/ovarian regions
- Familiarize themselves with interventional gynecologic ultrasound procedures, specifically sonohysterography and tubal patency evaluation
- Discuss challenging cases and make informed clinical decisions through interactive case studies
- Demonstrate increased knowledge by participating in hands-on opportunities on live patients

This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by McMaster University, Continuing Health Sciences Education Program for up to 10.0 MOC Section 1 hours.
This activity has been reviewed and approved by Sonography Canada. Participants may claim up to 7.75 Sonography Based CPD Credits for completing this activity.

CMAS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an activity due to insufficient registration, cancellation by the planning committee or any other circumstances that are beyond our control. CMAS will attempt to contact all registrants by the same method they registered. Registrants will receive full refund of registration fees. Every effort will be made to notify participants at least 4 weeks before the course date to allow for alternative arrangements.
CMAS does not assume any liability for airfare, travel, hotel or other damage that may arise from the cancellation.

Canceled Registration 14 days or more before the event: You will receive a full refund, minus a $250 administration fee.
Canceled Registration less than 14 days before the event: Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued.
