Active Release Techniques (ART) Europe: Lower Extremity Level 2 is organized by Active Release Techniques (ART) and will be held from Nov 19 - 22, 2026 at Hotel Mondo, Split, Split-Dalmatia, Croatia.

Description

ART Lower Extremity Level 2 provides evidence-based instruction of the necessary skills to detect and treat soft-tissue anomalies and dysfunctions of the feet, ankles, legs, knees, hips, and surrounding structures. ART Level 2 seminars instruct practitioners to identify and treat alterations in tissue texture, tension, function, and movement between two structures. This approach allows for proper relative motion that may result in improved outcomes. Throughout the seminar, attendees review the muscle and soft-tissue structures of the lower extremity, and how to evaluate and appropriately treat the disorders using the ART Diagnostic Algorithm and 72 advanced manual protocols. Lower Extremity Level 2 techniques can be used to treat a broad list of dysfunctions, including runner's knee, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and other soft-tissue dysfunctions.

Learning Objectives

Differentiate between two muscles that are side by side in the lower extremity when asked to perform palpation and an ART treatment protocol.
Properly explain to the patient the active/passive motion required to shorten and lengthen a muscle from the anatomical position based upon the ART protocol selected for treatment.
Properly assess a patient’s lower extremity condition using ART’s Diagnostic Algorithm.
Properly select treatment protocols which help to reduce pain, improve ROM, and restore function for a patient/client to return to ADL, sport, or other desired activity outcome.
