39th Annual HIV/AIDS on the Front Line Conference is organized by University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine Medical Education and will be held on Sep 16, 2026 at UCI Beall Applied Innovation @ the Cove, Irvine, California, United States of America.

Description:
The HIV/AIDS on the Front Line Conference is one of the oldest annual conferences in the nation focusing on HIV and is the premier conference serving the Southern California region. It is hosted by the UCI Health, Division of Infectious Diseases in collaboration with the Orange County Health Care Agency. The aim of the conference is to enhance providers’ knowledge, skills, and capacity to improve the quality of life for individuals living with HIV and preventing HIV for those at risk. Topics include practical clinical information for treatment, cutting edge advances in the field, as well as health related social issues which are pertinent to HIV-related care.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. Describe new and current advances in antiviral treatment for the care and prevention of patients with HIV or at risk for HIV.
2. Identify issues related to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sexually transmitted infections.
3. Identify how social factors, mental health issues, and/or drug use can act as a barrier to successful outcomes in individuals living with, or at risk, for HIV.
