Cancer care is entering a new era defined by rapid advances in biology, technology, and multidisciplinary treatment approaches. As therapeutic options expand, clinical decision-making has become increasingly complex, requiring an integrated and patient-centered approach.

This symposium brings together key developments in tumor biology, contemporary clinical management, and innovations in radiation oncology to provide a cohesive framework for learning and discussion. Participants will explore how emerging insights into treatment response and resistance are shaping care, how multidisciplinary strategies are evolving across challenging disease sites, and how technologies such as adaptive radiotherapy, digital modeling, and artificial intelligence are influencing workflow and personalization.

By linking science, clinical evidence, and technology, this symposium aims to strengthen participants’ ability to optimize treatment selection, reduce toxicity, and improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

1. Explain key advances in cancer biology relevant to radiation oncology, including DNA repair mechanisms, PR55?/PP2A signaling, mucin-mediated resistance, and the role of radioprotectors and radiosensitizers in modulating treatment response.
2. Evaluate multidisciplinary management strategies for complex malignancies, including locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer, gynecologic cancers, genitourinary cancers, and cutaneous non-melanoma skin cancers, and apply evidence-based approaches to clinical decision-making.
3. Integrate patient-centered care principles into oncology practice, including shared decision-making, patient education (including video and AI-assisted tools), and individualized treatment planning in complex clinical scenarios.
4. Assess emerging technological innovations in radiation oncology, including Digital Twin modeling, upright radiotherapy, adaptive radiotherapy, and AI/LLM-based clinical tools, and determine their potential impact on workflow, personalization, and patient outcomes.
5. Synthesize advances in biology, clinical oncology, and technology to optimize personalized cancer care, balancing tumor control, toxicity mitigation, and quality of life across diverse patient populations.
