OVERVIEW

Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine (SPPM) 12th Annual Meeting is organized by Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine (SPPM) and will be held on Mar 27, 2025 at Orlando World Center Marriott, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Description:
Our theme this year, "Defining a New Era in Pediatric Pain Medicine," underscores our commitment to exploring the latest advancements and innovations in the field. The program will highlight cutting-edge updates in perioperative care, pain medications, procedural interventions, biopsychosocial approaches, and integrative care, while also emphasizing the importance of wellness within the medical community and the need for personalized and inclusive care for all patients.  We’ve also added a playful twist to the program this year—our theme is accentuated by hints (Easter eggs) from the globally acclaimed concert series, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

Education Mission Statement:
The SPPM 12th Annual meeting will focus on topics of interest to those involved in the prevention, assessment, and management of pain in infants, children, and adolescents. The overall goals for attendees of the program are to enhance their existing fund of knowledge, and to introduce them to new and state of the art techniques and information that affect their practice and improve the care for children in pain.

Scope and Type of Activities:
The program brings together experts from clinical and basic science disciplines related to pediatric medicine, anesthesiology, pain medicine, palliative care, bioethics and neurobiology. General topic areas include neurobiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regional anesthesia, anesthesia, surgery, patient safety, database resources, and risk assessment for abuse and addiction prevention.

The presentation format is varied, and includes lectures, reviews, panel discussions, problem-based learning discussions, and workshops. Sessions provide a wealth of information and advances in the field of pain medicine. Significant attendee involvement and feedback are encouraged in all aspects of the program. Program content is, in fact, the direct result of membership input and extensive audience polling at prior meetings.
