Successful implementation of an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program requires a multidisciplinary team effort and active participation of the patient in the recovery program. The ERAS program is an opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in the field with a goal to hasten functional recovery and improve postoperative outcomes.
Course Objectives:
- Explore how ERAS varies from specialty to specialty.
- Examine how ERAS complements hospital strategies and values.
- Recognize how standardized pre- and post-operative workflows benefit healthcare providers, patients, and patient outcomes.
