2025 Falls Prevention 101 Training is organized by Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Medicine and will be held on Jun 07, 2025 at St Louis, Missouri, United States of America.

Description:
One the biggest risks for physical ailments and hospitalizations in older adults are falls. While caregivers and professionals try to attend to certain physical and mental health challenges of loved ones, the prevention of falls is often times very challenging. This interactive training will deliver introductory content about the basics of fall prevention, body strength, and exercise tips for older adults. Professionals will receive helpful techniques that they can implement and converse with patients and caregivers in their clinical practice.

Objectives:

  • Identify the main risks associated for the rates of falls in older adults with chronic health issues.
  • Describe the different skills and techniques to help keep older adults safe in their household.
  • Incorporate these clinical skills into routine practice with older adult patients and caregivers.
