18th Annual Cerebrovascular Symposium - Women Advancing Stroke Care is organized by Swedish Medical Center (SMC) and will be held from May 08 - 09, 2025 at Seattle Science Foundation, Seattle, Washington, United States of America.

Description:
Swedish Neuroscience Institute's 18th Annual Cerebrovascular Symposium is a 1.5-day program that will provide a comprehensive update on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of various types of cerebrovascular diseases and stroke. Nationally recognized experts will present didactic lectures, case discussions, faculty debates on topics including updates from ISC, DOAC's, imaging, and ICH. This year there will be a hands-on, in-person device lab on Friday morning, as well as didactic lectures on Thursday and Friday with several topics on new science. Featuring new data from clinical research and evidence-based updates, this comprehensive program will address best practices and essential learning for all members of the care team.

Learning Objectives:
By attending this course, the participant will provide better patient care through an increased ability to:

  • Evaluate treatment options for stroke patients based on updated guidelines
  • Discuss recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who present with symptoms of stroke
  • Select appropriate radiographic studies based on the most current information available
  • Describe systems of care for stroke patients
  • Apply newly acquired knowledge through discussion of a variety of challenging stroke cases
  • Practice new techniques through a hands-on equipment lab
