OVERVIEW

Dermatology for Primary Care is organized by Medical Education Resources (MER) and will be held from Feb 09 - 11, 2024 at Viewline Resort Snowmass, Autograph Collection, Snowmass Village, Colorado, United States of America.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
• Differentiate between the presentations and causes of atopic, contact (irritant and allergic), and nummular dermatitis
• Discriminate the diagnostic principles and treatment options for papulosquamous diseases with red, raised bumps
• Discriminate between various viral skin infections and treatment strategies
• Compare the different treatment options for fungal skin infections and nail infections
• Perform a differential diagnosis of common bacterial skin infections and recommend appropriate treatment
• Identify cutaneous findings that serve as surrogates of internal diseases
• Recognize common and distinctive cutaneous drug eruptions
• Describe the step-wise approach for the diagnosis and treatment of acne and acneiform eruptions
• Differentiate benign and malignant skin tumors and employ appropriate interoffice procedures
• Detect pre-cancerous and cancerous skin lesions
• Review basic skin surgeries typically conducted in the primary care office
• Utilize case-based learning to develop treatment plans for dermatologic conditions

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP):

The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) has a reciprocal credit agreement with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) for activities which offer Prescribed credit. CFPC members who complete these conferences may claim the equivalent number of Mainpro-M1 credits.

Nursing Credit Designation:
American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 12 ANCC nursing contact hours. Nurses will be awarded contact hours upon successful completion of the activity. This activity is designated for 3.5 ANCC pharmacotherapeutic contact hours.
