Description:
This course was designed for doctors who have attended our first Aesthetic Excellence course. Participants will learn how to treat full-arch and dual-arch cases and learn to understand predictable protocols and logistics necessary to successfully stage more complex aesthetic cases.

Prior to this course, participants will be responsible for collecting a specific set of records and delivering them to Dental Ceramics, Inc. to determine if the proposed case is appropriate for this course. Our main objectives are patient safety, an excellent learning experience, and a comfortable, beautiful outcome for the patient.

Course Objectives:

• Treating full-arch and dual-arch cases
• Identifying and correcting occlusal plane discrepancies
• Identifying occlusal wear and bite collapse
• Utilizing bite deprogrammers and bonded orthotics
• Recreating a comfortable, functional maxillomandibular posture
• Understanding predictable protocols and logistics necessary to successfully stage more complex cases
• Management of occlusion during all phases of treatment and beyond

Session One: Virtual session via Zoom

• From 12:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. EST.
• All involved: participating doctors, Dr. Spoor, clinical and lab coordinators Course overview and review of each case with all participants.
• Following this call, doctors will receive a package containing an occlusal plane analyzer, digital calipers, and their deprogrammer appliance, which is to be delivered to the patient before August 5th, 2024
• Discussion on technique and timing of occlusal registration and delivery to Dental Ceramics, Inc. for case mock-up

Session Two: In-person

• Review individual cases with all participants
• Try-in of upper and lower mock-ups
• Discuss treatment schedule and logistics
• Prep upper arch
• Apply lower overlay orthotic
• Occlusal management and photographs

Session Three: In-person

• Seat upper bonded ceramic restorations
• Prep lower arch
• Record inter-occlusal relationship using proper technique and sequencing
• Apply lower provisional restorations
• Occlusal management and photographs

Session Four: In-person

• Seat lower bonded ceramic restorations
• Occlusal management
• Final photographs
• Doctors case presentation
• Course wrap-up

Session Five: Virtual session via Zoom

• Check-In
• Review updated photos and x-rays of course patients with doctor participants
