This is an intense, interactive course tailored to ophthalmic practitioners and advanced clinical practice healthcare specialists. The first of a series, the course is designed to provide core basic sciences and clinical knowledge of the peripheral fundus and vitreoretinal disease.

Course Aims:
The course will ensure attendees become more confident in diagnosing and managing vitreoretinal emergencies. It will help Allied Health Professionals to streamline the patient pathway more effectively by recognizing urgent conditions that need to be referred as well as non-urgent conditions that do not require a referral.

• Anatomy and physiology of the peripheral fundus
• Common physiological variations and management
• Management of Vitreo-retinal emergencies and common pathology
• Medical-legal record keeping for acute ophthalmic care
