Intensive Care for Austere and Remote Environments 2023 is organized by the College of Remote and Offshore Medicine (CoROM) and will be held from Apr 10 - 14, 2023 at the College of Remote and Offshore Medicine, Pretty Bay, Southern Region, Malta.

Description:
In collaboration with the College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation, our Critical Care course is available for students. This class will educate students on the fundamental ideas, abilities, and principles necessary to evaluate and care for a critical casualty properly. The student will be prepared for the American board certification as a Critical Care Paramedic by completing this course, which includes topics such as hemodynamic monitoring, critical care monitoring, advanced concepts of shock, and the treatment of burns in remote areas. This class focuses primarily on scenario-based learning. You will be expected to participate actively in demanding activities in this lesson.

Fundamentals of Ultrasound, Acid-Base Pathologies, Austere Clinical Laboratory Diagnosis, Advanced Prolonged Field Care, Aircraft Fundamentals, Safety and Survival, Trauma Management, Advanced ECGs, Introduction to Mechanical Ventilators, Fundamental Concepts of Haemodynamic Monitoring, Flight Physiology, Advanced Airway Management Techniques, Neurological Emergencies, The Critical Cardiac Patient, Respiratory Patient, Burn Patients, General Medical Patient and Environmental injuries.
