OVERVIEW

American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) 55th Annual Meeting is organized by the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) and will be held from May 04 - 07, 2023 at Hyatt Regency Seattle, Seattle, Washington, United States of America.

Learning Objectives:
After the conclusion of the Annual Meeting, participants will be able to discuss recent research findings in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology, explain new techniques in reconstruction that promote optimal surgical outcomes, and describe the most recent advancements in the treatment of skin cancer. Participants will also be able to convey the most recent advances in skin cancer treatment.

Specific learning objectives, upon completion of the ACMS Annual Meeting, include:
• Plan and carry out Mohs phases and basic and complex reconstructive surgery on the face, neck, hands, foot, nails, and genitalia;
• Discuss the most up-to-date guidelines for identifying and treating melanoma and Merkel cell carcinoma.
• Review the efficacy and methods of immunohistochemistry in the treatment of melanoma and nonmelanoma skin malignancies;
• Develop more effective methods of scar reconstruction following Mohs surgery;
• Learn to recognize anatomical landmarks and use that information in Mohs surgery;
• Acknowledge the possibility of inaccuracy in frozen section evaluation of skin malignancies and work to reduce the likelihood of error;
• Define acceptable procedures for Mohs surgery and reconstruction billing and coding;
• Enhance postoperative patient outcomes by maximum inter-disciplinary teamwork;
• Determine which aspects of the patient's preoperative history need attention;
• Evaluate the current research in the fields of dermatological surgery and cutaneous oncology;
• Explain the most up-to-date methods for treating skin cancer in people who have received organ transplants.

Note: Pre-registration must be received by the ACMS office on or before April 10, 2023. The office will not accept any registrations after April 10 and will require you to register and pay on-site.
