Conference Objectives:
APBS Conference participants will be able to:
• Learn about research-based strategies that combine applied behavior analysis and biomedical sciences with person-centered values, systems change, and person-centered values to improve quality of life and reduce problem behavior.
• Recognize practical applications of positive behavior support in schools, early childhood, and mental health, child welfare settings, as well as in organizations that offer services to adults with intellectual disabilities or other disabilities.
• Discuss the most recent, state-of-the-art research in positive behavior support for various populations and settings.
• Increase explicit knowledge in the field of positive behavior support. This encourages questions about the field's aims and methods.
• Increase their understanding of the positive behavior support field and help them to see things from a different perspective.
• Increase understanding of the key components and associated considerations in positive behavior support from an individual to system-level perspective.
