Description:
The visceral medicine 2022 takes place under the motto "Visceral Medicine in Transition". We chose this motto because visceral medicine will face fundamental challenges in the coming years. These changes affect both medical and professional policy areas and are being accelerated and intensified by the corona pandemic.

In visceral medicine, however, the diagnostic and therapeutic options are also changing more than ever before. Artificial intelligence, robotics, and digitization will increasingly and permanently change everyday clinical practice. As a result, treatment processes can be optimized on-site, but also in networks across locations. This enables comprehensive access to specialized molecular tumor boards and individualized tumor therapy including immuno-oncological concepts. Gastrointestinal interventional endoscopy and modern minimally invasive surgery will also work together more than ever in the future.
