OVERVIEW
The National Conference on Wilderness Medicine is organized by Well-Assembled Meetings (WAM) & Associations and will be held from Jun 01 - 05, 2022 at Santa Fe Community Convention Center, Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States of America.
Target Audience:
Primary care physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and other health-care professionals who may encounter patients in remote settings or treat patients who acquire medical problems after visiting remote locations. This didactic activity has not received any outside commercial support.
Description:
The conference will cover a wide range of intriguing and useful wilderness and travel medical subjects, all of which will be delivered by knowledgeable and entertaining professors. All lectures will be live-streamed for absolute flexibility: watch in person, from your accommodation, or from your home! Over 30 engaging and practical presentations and CME will be presented by the leaders in wilderness and travel medicine. Get your Advanced Wilderness & Expedition Provider Certification or take an outdoor hands-on training to improve your skills
Santa Fe is a bustling and sunny destination for beauty, art, and gastronomy, as well as an outdoor recreation hotspot!
Program Objectives:
• Determine how to prevent and cure altitude sickness based on physiology
• Recognise and treat frostbite in the field
• Recognize hypothermia and treat it on the spot
• Recognise fractures and dislocations In the wild
• Recognize the pathophysiology of heat-related sickness and how to treat it

Cancellations received in writing at least four weeks prior to the conference start date will receive a refund less a $100.00 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after that time.
Canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Individuals are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations. Thank you for your understanding.
Wilderness and Travel Medicine uses images from our conferences in our marketing material including our website and social media. If you do not wish to appear in our marketing materials, please inform our on-site conference manager or director.
Advanced Wilderness Expedition Provider (AWEP Certification) Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 30 days prior to the course start date will incur a $50 fee. Within 30 days of the course, no refunds will be given.
Optional Workshop Cancellation Policy: Full payment is required at time of purchase. Cancellations received 30 days prior to the workshop date will incur a $25 fee. Within 30 days of the workshop, no refunds will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
