OVERVIEW

Straight Talk on Mental Health Medications & Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology is organized by J&K Seminars and will be held from Jul 14 - 15, 2022 at Wyndham Lancaster Resort and Convention Center, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Seminar Description:
Day One : Psychopharmacology: Straight Talk on Mental Health Medications:
Medication management is playing an increasingly pivotal role in the treatment of mental health disorders. As such, it’s essential for healthcare professionals, particularly those providing mental health services, to have a working knowledge of psychotropic medications. This seminar examines the mental disorders frequently encountered in clinical practice, accompanied by a discussion of the medication management and evidence-based behavioral approaches employed in treatment.

Day Two : Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology:
Age is not a factor when it comes to the emergence of mental disorders and the psychiatric and psychological clinical communities of the world agree on this. However, as little 20 years ago, gaining a consensus on specific disorders or types of disorders diagnosable in youth would have been met with considerable resistance and skepticism. Much has changed since the mid-1990s however, in that mental disorders are now routinely diagnosed in young people.  This seminar examines the mental disorders most often diagnosed in children and adolescents today – depression; anxiety; bipolar, ADHD; and disruptive behaviors. This seminar will also address what to look for when assessing for these mental syndromes, how to proceed toward getting youth proper help – in conjunction with primary caretakers.
