59th Italian Society of Rheumatology (SIR) National Congress is organized by AIM Group International - Milan Office and will be held from Nov 23 - 26, 2022 at Rimini Conference Center - IEG Expo, Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

The program that has been designed this year largely follows that carried out successfully in the last editions, with scientific sessions that will be dedicated to all the main rheumatological diseases, with treatments that will deepen the most modern and intriguing aspects in terms of pathophysiology and pathogenesis. , but which will obviously address the most recent issues from a clinical-diagnostic and therapeutic point of view, at a time when the continuous and very rapid scientific progress in many areas of Rheumatology makes updating increasingly difficult.

The part with clinical-practical value was maintained with sessions such as the "Review Course" and the "Hands-on" which have been very successful in previous editions and which will also pay great attention to the interactions with other specialist branches with which the Rheumatologist interface in his daily clinical practice, an expression of the often multidisciplinary character of our specialty which also makes it very attractive and fascinating.

In the wake of the consensus found previously, we also wanted to reorganize the "Question time" session with an examination of specific burning problems, always of a practical diagnostic and therapeutic nature, which will be addressed and discussed by experts selected "ad hoc".

This year there will also be a joint session between SIR and the newly formed Italian Society of Pediatric Rheumatology which will also give us the opportunity to remember the figure of the late colleague and friend Rolando Cimaz, who with his untimely death left an unbridgeable void in many of us.

As is now tradition, there will be sessions coordinated by For-Rheuma dedicated to "health professionals", with advanced courses for both nurses and physiotherapists, and of course space will also be given to the numerous patient associations that revolve around Rheumatology and which represent a great value also added in the sharing of relations with the political-institutional world.

The Congress will also make it possible to directly perceive the level reached in the field of research by Italian Rheumatology through the sessions of oral communications, including those in English "towards EULAR", in which the best young researchers from all Italian rheumatology schools will be protagonists. And the traditional scientific symposium will be dedicated to young people, entrusted to the direct management of SIRyoung colleagues who will thus have the opportunity to better deal with an exchange of their respective experiences.

The National Congress of the SIR has now turned into a scientific event of great depth, with a great possibility of updating and integrating all the components that in our country are contributing to the growth of our discipline, making it more alive than ever.
