26th Annual Hypertension, Diabetes & Dyslipidemia Conference is organized by Continuing Education Company, Inc. (CEC) and will be held from Jun 23 - 25, 2022 at Charleston Gaillard Center, Charleston, South Carolina, United States of America.
Overview:
The three-day intensive conference was held in Charleston, South Carolina on June 23-25th, 2022. It addresses all issues facing clinicians who work with patients with challenging conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidemia.
There have been controversies over the years about the optimal target for Hemoglobin, BP, and LDL-Cholesterol in relation to outcome improvement. These are Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, and Dyslipidemia. Personalized A1C targets are recommended for people with diabetes newly diagnosed, despite the findings from the ACCORD and VADT studies suggesting that a more intensive strategy may be beneficial in reducing A1C. There is still controversy surrounding cholesterol control. Recent guidelines recommend that you decide the intensity of statin-based treatment in patients at high risk or already diagnosed with ASCVD, rather than setting a goal for LDL cholesterol. This will improve your clinical outcome. The SPRINT trial revealed that individuals with hypertension at high risk can achieve lower BP targets.
These and other issues will be addressed at the conference for clinicians who treat patients with challenging conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidemia. These issues will be discussed and participants will be able to apply the important clinical principles to their daily practice in order to improve their patient care.
