The topic of the primary conference session is: Immunity, Inflammation and Autoimmunity. They are also offering three all day workshops on Thursday, October 14: an LDA workshop, an LDI workshop and a Post-Viral Syndrome & Post-COVID workshop.

Autoimmune diseases represent at least 80 illnesses that share a communal pathogenesis: an immune-mediated attack on the body’s own organs. As the human body reacts to its environment – including the diet – adverse reactions occur. The immune system may be provoked to create inflammatory consequences, which can damage any organ, tissue and cell. While pre-clinical and clinical research into these problems is expanding, standard treatments use symptom-suppressing drugs, rather than address the causes.

The associated cost of autoimmune disease has become a significant portion of the rising cost of US health care. This is because of a severe lack of awareness among the general public and medical practitioners and a lack of coordinated care and standardized diagnostic tests.

This conference will review the causes, mechanisms and consequences of the inflammatory effects of immune-mediated hypersensitivity, including post-viral and autoimmune illness. Our goals are to improve attendees’ understanding of the causes and effects of these conditions – and to improve their patients’ outcomes through preventative measures and providing optimal, causally-based treatment.
