Learning Objectives:
After this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply current STI screening and treatment guidelines during inclusive sexual health assessments.
  • Implement HIV prevention strategies using current PrEP and PEP modalities, including long-acting agents.
  • Manage antiretroviral therapy in newly diagnosed patients using guideline-based regimen selection and resistance-informed decision-making.
  • Manage common HIV-associated co-infections and comorbidities using evidence-based treatment strategies.
  • Adapt HIV treatment and prevention strategies for special populations, including pregnant patients, older adults, and individuals with mental health or substance use disorders.
  • Integrate syndemic principles into HIV care planning for patients with co-occurring medical & social vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshoot barriers and complications associated with administering long-acting antiretrovirals in clinical practice.
